Currently under construction and set to open in 2026, Maroochy Private Hospital is already shaping up to become one of the Sunshine Coast’s most advanced health and research precincts. The new private hospital has unveiled a line-up of respected healthcare providers who will form the backbone of its patient-first, multidisciplinary model of care.

Together, these organisations will anchor a multidisciplinary model of care designed to elevate patient outcomes, foster collaboration, and keep more advanced health services local for Sunshine Coast residents.
As part of the Imaging Queensland network, Sunshine Coast Radiology brings cutting-edge diagnostic imaging to the new facility, including AI-driven technologies and advanced modalities. Their services will support faster, more accurate diagnoses across a wide range of specialties, reinforcing Maroochy Private Hospital’s commitment to healthcare innovation.
“Our commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging aligns perfectly with the hospital’s vision for exceptional patient care,” said Sharon Hinchley, General Manager of Sunshine Coast Radiology.

“We look forward to working closely with surgeons, physicians, and specialists to improve health outcomes and meet the rising demand for local, advanced imaging services.”
Relocating from its long-established Cotton Tree location, Sports & Spinal will expand its local allied health team from 18 to nearly double within the hospital precinct. Offering services including physiotherapy, exercise physiology, podiatry, and massage, they’ll play a vital role in both rehabilitation and preventative care.
“We were drawn to the collaborative vision of Maroochy Private Hospital,” said Laura Perry, Senior Physiotherapist & Associate Partner at Sports & Spinal.
“This move enables us to support more patients and be part of an integrated healthcare approach that truly puts people first.”
Maroochy Private Hospital is being developed by Fortius Healthcare, with a clear vision: to deliver extraordinary care through innovation, collaboration, and patient-centred design. The facility will include private inpatient suites, cutting-edge operating theatres, and co-located services across Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery and Pain Medicine.
“This is more than a hospital; it’s a future-focused ecosystem designed to raise the bar for private healthcare on the Sunshine Coast,” said Assoc Prof Daevyd Rodda of Maroochy Private Hospital.
“We’re proud to partner with these exceptional providers who share our commitment to delivering care that goes beyond expectations.”
With demand continuing to grow, only a small number of tenancy opportunities remain. Health providers interested in securing space within this landmark facility are encouraged to enquire now to join a future-focused community shaping the next chapter of healthcare on the Sunshine Coast.
